Maeli Garcia

Maeli Marie Garcia, 2, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018. A visitation will be 5-8pm on Sunday, November 18 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will be held at 10am on Monday, November 19 at the chapel.

Maeli was born 3 months early on January 24, 2016 in Independence, MO to Jaime Jr. and Abigail (Frizzell) Garcia. She was born 2 minutes after her twin sister, Mila, and was a fighter from the start. She loved Disney, music, all things purple, and wasn’t afraid to express her emotions. Her strong will kept her going for almost 3 years.

Although her time here was short, she will be remembered by her parents Jaime Jr. and Abigail Garcia of Blue Springs, MO; brother Jaime “Cruz” Garcia III and Maeli’s twin sister Mila Marcy of the home; paternal grandparents Jaime Sr. and Donna Garcia of Kansas City, KS; maternal grandparents Michael and Suzanna Frizzell of Grain Valley, MO; great-great grandmother Lula Powell; great-grandparents Arturo Sr. and Rosie Garcia, and Marilyn Searles; aunts and uncles Dominic and Kimberly Garcia, Jordan and Alejandra Garcia, Hope Garcia and Oscar Alonzo, Andrew and Chastity Frizzell; plus several cousins, extended family members, friends, and the followers of Garcia Twins Facebook Page.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the nurses who cared for Maeli.
