Hazel Garrett

Hazel L. Garrett, 90, of Independence, MO peacefully passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9-10:00 in the chapel. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Hazel was born September 25, 1920 to Luther and Sara (Gregory) Breedlove. Her family was her life! Mrs. Garrett is survived by her children Charles Garrett (Carolyn), Vicki (Garrett) Alsot, Floyd Garrett, Jr. (Connie), Kenneth Garrett (Carol), Shirley Oppenheimer (Eric), Lewis Garrett (Charlotte), Gary Garrett (Pam), Ron Garrett (Linda); 23 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one brother, two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, granddaughter Michelle; two brothers; one sister; and two sons-in-law.
