Josephine Garrison

Josephine Garrison, 90, of Independence, MO, passed away, Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Monterrey Park Nursing Center. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Josephine was born October 16, 1917 in Jackson County, MO and has been a lifelong area resident. She worked as a homemaker and enjoyed quilting in her early years. She was a member of the Crescent Creek Community church in Raytown, MO. Josephine was married to John Garrison on May 23, 1936 and enjoyed 66 years of marriage until he passed away on November 9, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Woods. Survivors include; a son, Raymond E. Garrison and his wife Carole of Grain Valley, MO; a daughter, Judith A. Webb and her husband Bill of Oak Grove, MO; a son in law Tom Woods of Blue Springs, MO; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
