Vernon Garrison

Vernon Lee Garrison, 82 of Malta Bend, MO passed away, Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday December 29, 2011 at the Bethel Campground Cemetery in Edwards, MO. Visitation from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. Vernon was born October 16, 1929 in Climax Springs, MO to William I. and Lucy E. (Darnell) Garrison. After graduation he proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had worked at the MFA Seed Company for a number of years before he retired. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and camping. He was a Baptist by faith. He is survived by a son, Charles Garrison and 3 grandchildren.
