Harold Ross Geddes
Harold Ross Geddes, 85, born in Grand Island, NE April 22, 1922 to Harold A. and Margaret E. (Faerber) Geddes, died in peaceful sleep at the Rehabilitation Center of Independence on Monday, September 3, 2007. Survivors include daughter, Nancy Geddes Kimak and husband John; son, Douglas Ross Geddes and wife Renita; three granddaughters, J’Nan Kimak Judy and husband Ross, Rachelle Geddes and Reanna Geddes; a brother, Robert O. Geddes and wife Lorraine of Cockeysville, Maryland; and loving nieces and nephews. During World War II, Harold proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the US Army/Air Force. Harold retired from Butler Manufacturing in 1983 after 29 years of service. During his retirement years he served the City of Independence as a volunteer contributing to the Senior Programs at the Sermon Center and the Palmer Center. In his memory the family suggests contributions to the Truman Heartland Community Foundation for the Independence Palmer Senior Center Fund.
