Cecil Geoking

Cecil Goeking, 93, of Independence, MO passed away February 29, 2012 at his home. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial to follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. Cecil was born April 21, 1918 in Independence, MO to William and Norah (Smith) Goeking. He was a graduate of William Chrisman, as well as Midwest Bible and Missionary Institute. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodcarving. Cecil was also a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Goeking in 2002. Cecil is survived by two daughters; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
