Myra George, 67, of Independence, MO passed away May 16, 2011 at her home. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. with a 2:00 p.m. service to follow on Friday, May 20, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Myra was born August 18, 1943 in Boonville, MO to William and Evelyn Northern. She worked at York Archery and MCI Hospital before retirement. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Arnold “Pete” George. Myra is survived by her two children, Brenda Plumb and husband Curtis of Napoleon, MO, Dwayne George and wife Debbie of Greenwood, MO; four grandchildren, Kendra Lee and husband Jeremy, Kelsey Plumb and fiancé Nathan, Jesse George and Garrett George; one great grandchild, Kierstin Lee; two brothers, Willie Northern and wife Vicki of Booneville, MO, David Northern and wife Mary of Boonville, MO; six sisters, Virginia Small and husband Paul of Prairie Home, MO, Billie Quinley of Sedalia, MO, Linda Wilborn of Moberly, MO, Karen Clark and husband Stanley of Glasco, MO, Sandra Browning and husband Delbert of Boonville, MO, and Debbie Northern of Helena, MT.
