Suzanne George

Suzanne George, 74, Kansas City, MO, formerly of Independence, MO passed away July 25, 2009. Services will begin with the Rosary at 11 am, Wed., July 29, 2009 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, 5445 Parallel Pkwy, K.C., KS 66104-3047.
Suzy was born Aug. 24, 1934 in St. Joseph, MO. Her family soon moved to Kansas City. She graduated from St. Aloysius High School then began her career as a bookkeeper for Kline’s Dept. Store, Macy’s Dept. Store and finally Sprint, from which she retired in 1996. She attended St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Independence. Suzy loved reading, traveling and especially her cats.
Suzy was preceded in death by sister Patricia Utter and brother James J. George. She is survived by sister-in-law Linda George; cousins Janis Freeman and husband Bob, all of Kansas City, MO; Katherine Smith, Independence, MO; James Manley and wife Joyce, Kansas City, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
