Travis Bryan Giaccetti of Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, November 27, 2015. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Thursday, December 3th, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A graveside service will be held at Noon on Friday, December 4th at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO with full military honors.
Travis was born January 18, 1984 to Terry Lynn and Joyce Ann (Griffith) Giaccetti. He graduated from Truman High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army where he proudly served his country in Iraq. He was stationed at Ft. Riley and was deployed in January of 2005. He earned multiple awards, drove an M1A1 Abrams Tank and also received special honors from the Special Forces during his tour. Travis recently celebrated the ten year anniversary of the deployment of the Fighting Aces. Travis enjoyed being with his friends, riding motorcycles and ATV’s, going camping,, playing video games, BBQ’n, and especially loved being with his boys. His family and friends remember his good humor, contagious laugh, and zest for life. He was courageous, fearless, loyal, and loving.
Survivors include his mother, Joyce Giaccetti of Raymore; sons, Gianni Bryan and Gino Ebon and their mother, Taylor Giaccetti of Lee’s Summit, MO; girlfriend, Andrea Camerillo; sister, Tracie Biggerstaff (Nick) of Overland Park, KS; niece, Olivia Lynn Biggerstaff; maternal grandparents, Margaret and Lawrence Griffith of Raymore; and numerous other friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father; and his paternal grandfather, Galleo Angelo “Al” Giaccetti.
