James Gibeson, 83, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on October 29, 2014, at Overland Park Regional.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014, at 2:00pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. A visitation will be held a half-hour prior to the service at the chapel.
James retired from the KCMO Police Department and served in the US Army Airborne during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Remona; daughter, Deborah Van Arkel; son, Jerry Gibeson; and 3 brothers. He leaves his sons, David Bennett, Thomas Gibeson, and James Gibeson, Jr. (and his wife Ginger), Melvin Gibeson; 15 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
