Robert Ray "Bob" "Bobby" Gibler

Robert was born on June 13, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Malcom and Agnes (Jones) Gibler and the youngest of four children. On July 17, 1981, he married his best friend and the love of his life Janice Royles. Robert was a Mechanic for Public Works for many years, He enjoyed car races and fishing anytime and anywhere. Robert always made people laugh, he was extremely generous and kind, making time to check on his sisters, and his unconditional love for Janice was evident to all. Robert was a beacon of light and will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Robert is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janice Gibler; sisters, Sandy Walker, Deanne (Phil) Hackley, Angela Steele; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and last but not least, Bella, his beloved kitty. He is preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Agnes Gibler.

The family has planned for cremation and will be honoring Robert’s life with a Memorial Service that will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 1pm at Carson Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, Missouri 64052.

In lieu of flowers, family suggest contributions to be made to American Diabetes Association.
