Barbara Gicinto

Barbara Ann Gicinto, 52 of Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at Truman Lakewood Hospital. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. Burial will be in Floral Hills East Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the chapel. Donations may be made to the MS Society. Barbara was born January 3, 1959 in Iowa City, IA to Terrance and Jacqueline (Tucker) Berridge. She later moved to Independence and was a 1977 graduate of Truman High School. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for Kansas City Cardiology. She enjoyed reading, yard work and movies. She is survived by; 2 daughters, Whitney Gicinto and Courtney Gicinto both of Blue Springs, MO; a grandson, Connor Krough of Blue Springs, MO; a sister, Teresa Turner of Independence, MO and a brother, Scott Berridge of Lee’s Summit, MO. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bradley Berridge.
