Goldie Gilchrist

Goldie M. Gilchrist, 78, of Independence, MO passed away October 30, 2011. She was born March 6, 1933 in Henry County, MO to Cornelius and Laurie (Bailey) Johnson. Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Gilchrist, in 1979. She is survived by her three children, Rick Gilchrist, Kansas City, MO, Bob Gilchrist and Florence Cook, both of Independence, MO; two sisters, Annie Marie Stewart of Dixon, MO, June Van Camp of Liberty, MO; three grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the chapel, with burial to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
