Glenn Edward Moore passed away peacefully in the kind & loving care of Aspire Senior Living in Excelsior Springs MO after a battle with cancer., on Thursday October 30th, 2025, at the age of 88.
Glenn was born on January 5, 1937, to Neva (Orr) and John Moore in Cameron Missouri. He graduated from Cameron High School and married Nita Silvius on January 30, 1954.
With whom he had two children Lisa Ruth and Eric Gale.
They then moved to Independence and Glenn went to work for Interstate Brands and worked there for almost a half century and then continued to build equipment out of his shop at home as well as working for Santa Fe Glass since 1986.
Glenn enjoyed building anything in his shop at home, riding his motorcycle, showing his 1956 Ford pickup and searching swap meets for treasures.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Donald (Sharon) Monitor WA, Charles (Betty) Weatherby MO; his son, Eric Gale of Kearney; and his grandson Jeremiah Wayne Bush of Lee's Summit.
He is survived by his wife Nita of their home; his sister, Doris Thomas of Covington WA; and nieces, Cindy (Jesse) Steele of Enumclaw WA, and Kim Hubbard of Tacoma WA. Lovingly missed by daughter, Lisa and son in law John; granddaughters, Tabitha (Philip) Meyer Fairview KS, Keila Westfall (David), and Shayli Moore; great grandchildren, Milly Meyer, John Theodore Meyer and Lucy Meyer, Lauren Bush and Karen Bush.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 1:30pm at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, Missouri. No visitation will take place.
