Jimmie Goans, 73, passed away on March 23, 2015, in North KC, MO. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015, from 1-3:00pm, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO. A memorial service will begin at 3:00pm at the chapel.
Jimmie was born on March 20, 1942, in Lebanon, MO. He worked for Jones Vending, and retired from there in 2004. His life’s passion was bowling - he bowled for over 40 years, and was his league’s secretary treasurer for 30 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Saundra; daughter, Debbie Lenamon (husband, Jim); grandchildren, Kyle, Landon, and Ashleigh Lenamon; brother, Charles Ross (wife, Dela); sisters-in-law, Pam Brandenburg (husband, Ken), Linda Schull, Penny Morris, Tina Mattheisen (husband, Duane), and Jill Leon (husband, Kurt); and brother-in-law, Bob Troup. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ora Ross, and his sister, Shirley Nettles.
The family suggests contributions be made to Northcare Hospice or Sugar Creek United Methodist Church in Jimmie’s memory.
