John Godfrey, 61, of Kansas City, MO passed away at his home. Memorial services will be at 6:00 PM, Friday, May 16 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO with visitation following services until 7:30 PM.
John was born June 13, 1946 in Kansas City, MO to Joseph Fredrick and Madeline (Heather) Godfrey. He served in the U.S. Army for eight years, with two tours of duty in Viet Nam and one in Germany.
John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bertha Leuty and is survived by his three daughters and spouses: Madeline (Tim) Thurman, Cynthia (Bob) Fannin, and Mindy (Omar) Jamaleddin; seven grandchildren: Kandis, Samantha, Santana, Billy, Victoria, Jillian, and Olivia; three brothers: Charles Godfrey, Roger Godfrey, and David Godfrey; sister, Maderia Page; and a host of extended family and friends.
