Robert R. “Bob” Golding, Jr. 58, Independence, MO passed way Oct. 24, 2015. Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, Oct. 29 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed. at the chapel. Bob was born Aug. 6, 1957 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1975. He dedicated his life to the humane treatment of animals. He worked at Metro East Humane Society as an approved humane investigator and worked with fellow Illinois Dept. of Agriculture investigators and local animal control officers in the Metro
East area of Illinois. He was instrumental in fund raising for that organization. He lived in Illinois for nineteen years in the towns of Alton, Edwardsville and Troy. Everything he did was for the animals. Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert R. Golding, Sr. He is survived by his mother Laverna Wilson; sisters Patty Golding, both of Independence, MO; Karen Golding, Odessa, MO; nephew Joe Womack and wife Kasandra, Kansas City, KS and many other family members and friends. He had many dear friends in Illinois where he made his home for nineteen years.
