Edward Eugene Goold, 90, Independence, MO passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2011, with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at The Groves Community Chapel; 1515 W. White Oak, Independence, MO. Burial will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes.
Edward was born February 11, 1921 in Independence, MO the son of Rolland E. and Bessie I. (Westwood) Goold. He had been employed with American Optical and retired from Precision Cosmet. Edward was an Optician by trade and also enjoyed woodworking and fixing clocks. He was an Elder with the Summit Grove Congregation.
Edward was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth on July 26, 2009; sister, Maxine Auxier and his parents.
Survivors include his son, Greg Goold and his wife Diane; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren and his brothers, Raymond and Jack Goold.
