Jessie G. Gordon, of Sugar Creek, MO, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022. She was 86. A visitation will be held from 10-11am on Thursday, August 25th with a funeral following at 11am, both at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Interment will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence.

Jessie was born on October 30, 1935, in Phelps City, MO to Brunner and Ellen (Rash) Long. She attended Lincoln High School in Lincoln, MO, then on January 4, 1954, she married William Gordon in Cole Camp, MO. Jessie attended Church of the First Born in Christ. She was a homemaker and worked for a time for Loose Packwood, the Independence Sanitarium, and McDonalds.

Jessie leaves behind her husband of 68 years, William “Bill” Gordon; son, William “Bill” Jr.; and daughter, Pamela D. Williams; 2 brothers, Gary (Mary) Long and Lee (Susan) Wallace.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Mike Williams; and siblings-in-law, Nora and Ralph Goucher, Archie Gordon, and Lloyd “Toad” Gordon; as well as, her beloved dogs, Mitsy and Ladybug.
