William Henry “Bill” Gordon, Sr.

William Henry Gordon, Sr., of Sugar Creek, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022,
he was 86 years of age.

A visitation will be held from 10-11am on Monday,
October 31st with a funeral following at 11am, both at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W Lexington Ave.,
Independence, MO 64052. Interment will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, Missouri.

Bill was born on August 10, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Ira and Abbegail (Smith) Gordon.
On January 4, 1954, Bill married his best friend and love of his life, Jessie Long, in Cole Camp, Missouri. Bill attended Church of the First Born in Christ. He worked at General Motors and was a member of Fisher Body, after 30 years Bill retired. Bill enjoyed watching Westerns, hobby farming and gardening. He was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed.

Bill is survived by his son, William Gordon, Jr.; daughter, Pam Williams; brother, John Gordon; and
dear friend, Edward Robinson and his family. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Jessie Gordon; parents, Ira and Abbegail Gordon; siblings, Lloyd Gordon, Nora Goucher, Archie Gordon,
Arlena Green; and Pam’s partner of over 30 years, James Boring.
