Betty Green

Betty Lois Green, 67, of Brownsville, TX passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Carson Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Betty was born September 30, 1940 in LaPlata, MO to Charles and Bessie (Brisben) Lemasters. She grew up in Independence and graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1958. She and her husband moved to Brownsville in 1972 where she worked as the secretary for the First United Methodist Church for over 16 years. Betty is survived by her husband of 50 years, Larry Green of the home; daughter Veronica Owen and husband Hayward of Brownsville, TX; sons Larry Green and wife Dean Ann, Thomas Green and wife Stephanie all of Blue Springs, MO; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister Elsie F. Smith and husband Paul of Blue Springs, MO; a brother Charles Dennis Lemasters and wife Ann of Oak Grove, MO; and by a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
