Charles Gregory

Charles W. Gregory, 86, Appleton City, MO, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away March 10, 2009. Services will be 10 am, Monday March 16, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Missouri City Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Charles was born July 23, 1922 in Excelsior Springs, MO. He graduated from Missouri City High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He was a maintenance supervisor at the Avon manufacturing plant for thirty-six years and retired from there in 1976. He enjoyed golf and was a fan of the Royals and the Chiefs.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Violet L. Gregory; brothers Robert B. Gregory, James E. Gregory, Roy M. Gregory, Paul Gregory, Jr. and sister Jennie M. Keith. He is survived by niece Stella Thompson and husband John, Appleton City, MO; nephews Leonard Gregory and wife Patty, Windsor, MO; Kellis Gregory and wife Joann, Merwin, MO; nieces Carolyn J. Green and husband Carl; Brenda K. Foster and husband Bill, all of Appleton City, MO.
