Agnes Griffin

Agnes M. Griffin, 80, of Independence, MO passed away at her daughter’s home in Bolivar, MO, on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 with her family by her side. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2008 in the chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Agnes was born September 10, 1927 in Seminole, OK to Ray and Darsie (Barker) Henderson. Mrs. Griffin enjoyed playing cards and traveling in her spare time. Agnes loved her family dearly. She is survived by her daughters Paula Kirtley and husband Ray, Margie Rice; sons Sidney Griffin, Steve Griffin and wife Lisa; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister Beatrice Perry. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Delmer in ’05; her sister Hasletine; and brother Virgil.
