Katie J. Grimes, 87, Kansas City, MO passed away April 1, 2007. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed. at the funeral home.
Katie was born and raised in Sugar Creek, MO. She worked for many years at Montgomery Wards at the Blue Ridge Mall. She enjoyed crocheting, yard work, the Royals and the Chiefs.
Katie was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Grimes in 1990; sister Madeline Hale in 2006; and brother Mike Zorich in 2000. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Snow, Sugar Creek, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
