Orpha “Judy” Groves, of Independence, MO passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. She was 99 years old. A visitation will be held from 2-3pm on Tuesday, February 15th, with a service following at 3pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St.; Independence, MO 64055. A graveside service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, February 16th at Miriam Cemetery in Bethany, MO.
Judy was born on August 2, 1922 in Bethany, MO to Thomas and Salena (Sutton) Mitchell.
Judy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Groves.
She is survived by sons, Tom Groves and his wife Leslie, Rick Groves and his wife Maureen and daughter Karen Whetstone and her husband Jeff; her sister, Imogene Reinhart; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
