Robert Grubb

Robert Grubb, 89, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at The Fountains of Greenbriar. A visitation will begin at 6:30 PM, Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, followed by a service at 7:30 PM. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday at Floral Hills Cemetery. Robert was born August 23, 1918 in Alliance, Ohio to Howard and Cora Grubb. He was united in marriage to Vivene Thomas on December 5, 1942 and to this union were born two children, Pamela Kay and Robert Allen. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was employed by General Mills, Inc. until his retirement in 1980. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Vivene, and son, Robert Allen, and is survived by his daughter, Pamela Kay Settles and husband Bob of Independence; granddaughter, Tricia Kay Brady and husband Dane of Cumming, GA; and one great-granddaughter.
