Robert M. Gumminger, 55, of Kansas City, MO, passed away, Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial with full military honors will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 7 to 9:00 p.m., Friday evening at the chapel. Robert was born March 11, 1952 in Kansas City, MO to Edward and Dorothy (Keyte) Gumminger and has been a lifelong area resident. He attended William Chrisman High School and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He was a truck driver for 34 years and was currently employed CEVA Logistics. He was a proud member of the Brother’s Word Motorcycle Club. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Jackson) Gumminger of the home; 2 daughters, Autumn Gumminger of the home, Jennifer McBroom and husband Brent of Kansas City, MO; 4 sons, Joseph Gumminger and fiancé Annette Hermann of Basehor, KS, Robert A. Gumminger and wife Michele of Blue Springs, MO, Jason Gumminger and wife Rachel of Blue Springs, MO and Mick Portwood of Lee’s Summit, MO and 11 grandchildren.
