Gladys Marie Hack, 84, Independence, MO passed away July 24, 2010. Services will be 10 am, Wed., July 28, 2010 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Gladys was born Feb. 19, 1926 in Clinton, TN. She moved to Missouri in 1934 and has lived in Independence since 1964. She was a seamstress who made many outfits for the choral groups at William Chrisman and Ft. Osage High Schools over the years. She was a member of Blue Ridge Assembly of God Church and taught Sunday school years ago. She learned to play the piano at age seventy and got very good at playing the ragtime music she enjoyed.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Hack, son Bryan Hack, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by sons Ronnie Hack; Monte Hack, both of Independence, MO; grandchildren Annette Marie Keeter and husband Patrick, Springhill, TN; Brett Alden Hack and fiancé Amanda Lyman; great-grandchildren Mercedes Marie Hack, Makenzie Nicole Hack and Cheyenne Rhylee Hack, all of Independence, MO.
