Marilyn "Sue" Hahn

Marilyn Sue (Shaffer) Hahn, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on January 17, 2022. She was born March 12, 1938 and lived in the Greater KC area most of her life.

She graduated from Central High School in 1956, and married Edward Hahn. Together, they started a family, raising four wonderful children, Edward Jr., Michael, Shari and Steven. The family grew and grew with nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Sue loved to play golf and joined the Ladies Golf League in Raytown. She also loved to sew and bake, but mostly loved to be with her extended family. She will be missed by many.

Sue leaves behind her beloved husband of over 65 years, Edward; her children, Edward Hahn, Jr. of Lee’s Summit, Michael Hahn of Blue Springs, Shari (Eric) Gipson of Oakville, MO and Steven (Shelly) Hahn of Lee’s Summit; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, William J. (Diana) Shaffer, Jr. of Springhill, KS; and her sister, Donna (Dennis) Casey of North Kansas City.

A visitation will be held from 2-3pm on Saturday, March 12, 2022 with a celebration of life following at 3pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St.; Independence, MO 64055.
