Shirley Mae Hall, 77 of Independence, MO, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012. at Truman Medical Center at Lakewood. Services will be 7:00 p.m., Friday evening, March 9, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until service time Friday evening at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to Alzheimer’s Research. Shirley was born January 17, 1935 in Kansas City, MO to R.L. and Ann F. (Lawrence) Hutcheson and has been a lifelong area resident. She was a devoted wife mother and homemaker who in later life, was an avid radio contest player. She was married to Elmer Hall on November 19, 1954; he preceded her in death in July of 1985. Survivors include; 4 daughters, Rachel Alyea of Lee’s Summit, MO, Rebecca Wallace and husband Brad of Virginia, Sarah Ruckman and husband Paul of Independence, MO and Melissa Hall of Lee’s Summit, MO; 2 sons, Matt Hall and Mark Hall of Lee’s Summit, MO; a sister, Coni Stewart and husband David of Independence, MO; a brother, Joe Lawson and wife Dora of Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters-in-law, Eleanor Haycox, Ruth Rutledge, Judy Butcher; a brother-in-law, Bob Hall and many nieces and nephews who all loved her very much.
