Zibe W. Halsey, 90, of Independence, MO passed May 8, 2013. Cremation to take place at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Zibe was born June 11, 1922 to Buford and Jessie (Barker) Halsey. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during WWII. Until his retirement, he worked for Damon Parcell Construction Company as an engineer, where he was instrumental in the building of bridges, roads and many other projects that improved and shaped the Kansas City Metro area. He was also a member of the American Legion and was also a Mason. Zibe was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Halsey in 2007. He is survived by his three daughters, Nancy Armentrout, Sandra Fritz and Debbie Campfield; ten grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
