Ernest Thomas Hamilton, 61 of Independence, MO passed away Monday, March 29, 2004 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, at the George C. Carson and Sons Funeral Home. A visitation will be held before the service from 1-2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Mr. Hamilton was born on July 27, 1942 to Thomas and Edna Hamilton in Independence, MO. He had been a driver for R.C. Sanitation and had previously been employed by Parks Trash Service. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Hamilton is survived by his wife, Cecelia Hamilton of Independence, MO; four sons, Ernest Thomas Hamilton, Jr. of Independence, Matthew Mark Hamilton of East Lynne, MO, Thomas Wayne Hamilton of Lone Jack, MO and Jacob Wayne Hamilton of Independence; six daughters, Melissa Lynn Carey of Independence, Ella Anna Burgess of Independence, Eva Fay Swovelan of Gladstone, MO, Ethel Darlene Hudson of Kansas City, MO, Sara Leeanna Hamilton of Independence, and Lacy Cecelia Hamilton of Independence, MO; his father, Thomas Ernest Hamilton of Osceola, MO; one brother, Charles Hamilton of Independence. Two sisters, Ethel Nussbaum of Osceola, MO and Edna Marie Boyles of Wapanuka, Oklahoma. Twenty-three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
