Nina Mae Hamilton, 84, of Sugar Creek, MO, passed away, Monday, Jun e14, 2010 at Rehabilitation Center of Independence. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Wednesday at the chapel. Nina was born October 17, 1925 in Deer, AR to Sherman Earl and Effie Mae (Cooper) Clayborn. She was a devoted wife mother and homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with family. She had worked for over 30 years as an inspector for the Percy-Kent Bag Company until she retired in the late 1980’s. She was married to Doyle Hamilton in 1946; he preceded her in death in 1980. Survivors include; a son, Eddie Hamilton and his fiancé Roseann Danner of Independence, MO; 3 daughters, Margaret Hale of Independence, MO; Mary Jones and husband Jim of Lathrop, MO and Kay Morrow and husband Steve of Fair Play, MO; a sister, Fern Bowling and husband Ray of Harrison, AR; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a 3 brothers, John, Herman and Dick Clayborn, a sister, Faye Carpenter, 2 grandchildren, Sheri Hamilton in 1989 and Todd Hamilton in 2000, a son in law, Arthur Hale in 1999 and a daughter, in law, Debbie Hamilton in 1982.
