Phillip “Phil” Hamilton, 58, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012. A visitation to honor Phil will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, KS.
Phil was born on June 21, 1953. His parents were Arthur and Alma Hamilton from Wichita, KS. Phil was a kind, caring person who had a heart of gold and loved his family very much. He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Janet Hamilton; daughter Virginia (Jenny) Bassett, mother-in-law Jeanine Jones; father-in-law Richard Jones; brother-in-law Allen Jones; sister-in-law Janet Kay Jones; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Phil was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Delores Miller.
