Larry Hannah, 79, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, March 23, 2015. A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A private burial will be held at a later time at Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence, MO.
Larry was born March 11, 1936 in Moberly, MO as one of six children to Myrtle (Brown) and Edd E. Hannah, Sr. He graduated from Moberly High School and later relocated to the greater Kansas City Metro where he was owner and operator of Larry’s Delivery Service. In the 1990’s he moved to Mexico, MO where he found his passion driving a school bus for numerous school districts. He spent the last 17 years back in Independence where he enjoyed a humble home life socializing with his neighbors and friends. Larry is remembered for his strong will, good humor, and love of children, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by son, Larry E. Hannah of Independence; daughter, Cynthia A. Steutermann (Mark) of Overland Park, KS; daughter, Joy G. Rambo (Andrew) of Kansas City, MO; sister, Mardella Jordan of Radcliff, KY; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
