Nancy Jane Harkness, 62, Independence, MO passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at her home.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Nancy’s Life will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO 64052. Nancy was born December 9, 1949 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Robert and Nola (Braton) Guth. She was a 1967 graduate of Van Horn High School. Nancy had worked as a CNA in home health care. She enjoyed watching movies, music and in her younger years playing the violin and guitar.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Heather Harkness of Centerview; son, James Harkness and wife Tammy of Grain Valley; grandchildren, Christina and Alicia Smith, Lizzy, James and Alex Harkness; sister, Marsha Flood of Coral Springs, FL; and additional cousins and family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
