Larry Keith Harmon, 70, of Buckner, MO died peacefully at home after a brief illness, surrounded by his family on December 2, 2010. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. memorial service to follow on Monday, December 6, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice or your favorite animal shelter in Larry’s memory. Larry was born July 20, 1940 in Lagonda, MO to General Sherman (S.J.) Harmon II and Chlorine (White) Harmon. He worked for many years at Scot Heller Trucking, at a career he loved, driving an end dump. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Elizabeth McAdams, Lester Harmon, Charles Harmon, Helene Chase and Chester Harmon. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Skaller) Harmon; three children, Steven D. Harmon and wife Laura, Theresa A. Schreck and husband Lloyd, Michele (Skaller) Lewis; grandchildren, Brandyn Harmon and wife Laura, Lynsey, Meghan, Steven Jr., Joesef, Quenten and Elezabeth Harmon, Kaitlyn, Jacob and Sarah Markley, Zachary, Tyler and Eleni Lewis; great grandchildren, Gavin, Reese, Alana, Tanner, Tatum and Ava; beloved pets, Gov’ner and Bobbie.
