David Martin Harms, 65 of Grain Valley, MO passed away, Monday, August 3, 2015 at his residence. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with cremation to follow. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in his name to the Keith Worthington Chapter for ALS. David was born May 23, 1950 in Cole Camp, MO to Lawrence L. and Evelyn F. (Knoles) Harms. He had worked as an in house construction supervisor for Children’s Mercy Hospital for 32 years before he retired in 2013. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time at his lake house. He is survived by; his loving wife, Susan of the home; a son Danny Greenwood and his wife Valarie of Grain Valley, MO; a brother, Jerry Harms of Lincoln, MO and 2 granddaughters, Kylie and Kassidy.
