Harold E. Harris, 80, Sebring, FL formerly of Raytown, MO passed away May 10, 2009. Graveside services will be at 2 pm, Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Brooking Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the High Point Baptist Church, 7900 Westridge Road, Raytown, MO 64138.
Harold was born Sept. 4, 1928 in Independence, MO to Clarence Harris and Hazel (Gardner) Harris. He was an installer for the telephone company for many years. Before moving to Florida to be near his daughter, he lived in Raytown and was a member of the High Point Baptist Church.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife Edith “Deede” Harris in 2000. He is survived by son Stephen Harris and wife Kathy, Springfield, MO; daughter Karen Sparr and husband Donald, Sebring, FL; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
