Pauline Harris

Alta Pauline Ellis Harris, 92, Florissant, MO, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Bentwood Nursing Center in Florissant, MO. Pauline was employed and retired from the Independence Hospital, working in the pharmacy department. She was a member of St Mark’s Catholic Church in Independence. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 32 yrs., William Phillip Ellis, and by her second husband, Charles Richard Harris. Pauline is survived by two daughters-- Jerilyn Lea Cornelius and husband, Lawrence of Florissant, MO, and Paula Anne Jackson of Grain Valley, MO; four grandchildren, Douglas Cornelius, Scot Jackson, Elizabeth Cornelius, and Victoria Prasad; five great- grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO; with the rosary service at 2:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 28, at St Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO. Burial following at the Woodlawn/St Mary’s Cemetery in Independence.
