Seng Hass, 101, Independence, MO, passed away March 6, 2011 at home. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm, Thursday, March 10 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO 64052. Cremation will take place at 10 am, Friday, at the Carson-Speaks Crematory.
Seng was born Jan. 4, 1910 in Battambang, Cambodia. She came to the U.S.A. in 1982 and became a U.S. citizen. She has lived in Independence since 1990. She loved gardening vegetables and herbs. She was a Buddhist.
Seng was preceded in death by nine children including daughter Phy San. She is survived by grandchildren Sokha Vath and wife Molly; Mao Vath and husband Woody Tong; Vuth “Dominic” Vath and wife Tia; great-grandchildren Dominic Khiev, Donovan Vath, Sophia Vath Carpenter and Sean Vath Carpenter, all of Independence, MO.
