William Lenward Hatley, Sr., 58 of Raymore, MO passed away, Sunday, December 26, 2010 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Emmanuel Cemetery in Carthage, MO. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Donations may be made in his name to the Cancer Action Fund. Lenward was born September 5, 1952 in Leachville, AR to William Leroy and Mary Louise (Felton) Hatley. He had worked as a cook most of his life for a number of local restaurants. He enjoyed coin collecting and woodworking. He was a member of the Beacon of Hope Church in Raymore. He was married to Rebecca Cook on December 7, 1978; she survives of the home. Other survivors include; a daughter Crystal Kroll of Raymore, MO; a son, William L. Hatley, Jr. of Fulton, MO; a brother, Billy Hatley of Independence, MO; 2 sisters, Melba Brim of Raytown, MO and Linda Doss of Independence, MO; 4 grandchildren, Michael Kroll, Chad Hatley, Marlia Young and Lacey Kroll. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Mary Hatley in 2010; a brother, Johnny Hatley and a sister, Wanda Foster.
