Paul W. Hatmon

Paul W. Hatmon, 85 of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Pleasant Hill Health Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday April 13, 2007 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the chapel. Paul was born June 23, 1921 in Cabool, MO to Herbert and Bessie (Hunter) Hatmon. He grew up in the Kansas City area graduating from Northeast High School in 1938. He had worked for the Kansas City Missouri Post Office for a number of years retiring as Postmaster of the William Chick Station in Kansas City, MO. He was a member of the Baptist Church, Rotary International and the Horseless Carriage Club. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of many years, Margaret (Barrett) of the home; a sister, Mary Belle Powell of Hansen, ID and many nieces and nephews.
