Phyllis June Heavener (Bardwell)

Phyllis J. Heavener, 74, Kansas City, MO passed away July 20, 2014. Memorial services will be 11 am, Sat. July 26 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will begin at 10 am before the service at the chapel. Cremation. Phyllis was born June 17, 1940 in California, MO and grew up there. She was a custodian at Whittier Elementary School in Kansas City and retired in 1984. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed fishing. Phyllis is survived by her husband of fifty-two years Jim Heavener, of the home; son Randy Heavener, Kansas City, MO; daughter Rhonda Heavener-Bryant and husband Kevin, Lee’s Summit, MO; brothers Richard Bardwell and wife Delores; Gary Bardwell and wife Linda; Mark Bardwell and wife Rosemary; sister Kathy Eason, all of California, MO; grandchildren Megan Heavener, Kansas City, MO; Stacy Heavener and Jacob Heavener both of Houston, MO.
