Don was born February 11, 1926 as the only child to Carl Lee and Beryl F. (Thompson) Hedden. He graduated from William Chrisman class of 1944 and from Graceland College, 1949, with an Associates in Business. Don proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp during WWII as 1st Sargeant and a B-24 Gunner. He married his beloved Nancy (Green) on August 15, 1947 in Independence and together they raised three wonderful daughters. He was a faithful man and life long member of the Community of Christ Church, participating in Laurel Club for a number of years. He retired in 1986 after over 37 years of dedication as a Buick Distributor for General Motors. He loved playing golf, he loved his cars, but most importantly he loved his family. They remember him as ever the social butterfly, having never met a stranger, supporting, and loving.
