Steven Hegle

Steven Wayne Hegle, 56 of Independence, MO, passed away, Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Centerpoint Medical Center. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Bolivar, MO with visitation preceding the services starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, MO under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, MO. Donations made be made to the Kansas City Zoo. Steven was born November 27, 1951 in Herrington, KS the son of Weldon Wayne and Nola Mae (Wendt) Hegle. He moved to Bolivar, Mo at a young age and graduated from Bolivar High School in 1969. He had worked as an Electronic Technician for Midland International for a number of years. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering, Sci-fi and spending time with his family especially his granddaughter. He was married to Venus Barnes on July 23, 1983, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; his parents, Weldon and Nola Hegle of Bolivar, MO; a son, Jeremy Wayne Hegle of Kansas City, MO; a daughter, Krista (Hegle) Gray of Independence, MO; a brother, Gary Hegle of Bolivar, MO; Deborah Vaughn of Joplin, MO and a granddaughter, Brianna Gray of Independence, MO
