Mildred Heide

Mildred Laura Heide, 101, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 at Blue Hills Rest Home. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at New Hope Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 220 W. Moore, Independence, MO, 64050. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Mildred was born October 22, 1906 in Preston, IA to Azariah Caleb and Laura Charlotte (Miles) Prusia. She was a life-long member of the church, and for the last 11 years attended the Waldo Restoration Branch. Mrs. Heide was faithful to the gospel of Jesus Christ and spent her entire life in service for the Lord, especially in teaching the Book of Mormon. She is survived by her daughters Mava Holst and husband Don, Lois Lane, Darlene Euritt and husband James; sons Marlan Heide and wife Margaret, Wayne Heide and wife Sarah; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; her brother Lloyd Prusia; her sister Ethel Rockwell. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Alma J. Heide; an infant son Lyle Heide; and her son-in-law Gerald Lane.
