Louise Marie Heimel, 88, Independence, MO passed away Wed., February 10, 2010 at Shirkey Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2010 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Louise was born October 28, 1921 in Galesburg, IL the daughter of Frank C. and Rose (Heimlich) Hund. She was married to Charles Heimel, they spent the first 30 years of their marriage traveling until he retired as an Air Force veteran. She was a member of the Altar Society, and the Legion of Mary. Louise enjoyed shopping, going bowling and loved being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Heimel in 1997; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include her son; Michael C. Heimel of Branson; daughters, Ann L. Yehle and her husband Jerry of Kansas City; and Patricia Solsberg and her husband Glenn of Blue Springs; grandchildren, Stephen Heimel and Bryan Orozco, Eric and Deanna Yehle, Lacey Morris, Nicole McLean, Derek and Colin Solsberg, and six great grandchildren.
