Helen Mae Birch

Helen May Birch, 87, gently passed away on February 9, 2024, and is now with the Lord. Born on April 13, 1936, in Hamburg, Arkansas, she was the eldest of 13 siblings, the daughter of Earl and Bertha Chapmon Ward. Helen’s journey included a 70-year marriage to her beloved Norman Birch, resulting in a cherished family of three children, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. A devoted member of Maywood Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri, Helen leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Irvin, Luke, and Gene, and four sisters, Mabel, Dolois, Brenda, and Lelesia. Helen is survived by her loving husband, Norman, her son Gary, and two daughters, Theresa and Melody.
