Kathy Ann Hemerson (Saunders)

Kathy A. Hemerson, 62, Lee’s Summit, MO departed this Earth unexpectedly April 15, 2014. Services will be 10 am, Sat., April 19 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday at the chapel. Kathy was born Feb. 9, 1952 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Deepwater (MO) High School. She worked at the Hen House Market in Leawood. She was a collector of shoes and hats, loved to keep up with Facebook and enjoyed fishing for trout at Lake Taneycomo. Kathy is survived by her companion of thirty-three years Marvin Wyzard, of the home; son Jeffrey Saunders and wife Jackie, Franklinville, NC; step-son Stacy Wyzard and wife Julie, Cleveland, MO; step-daughter Shauna Willoughby, Independence, MO; sister Carolyn Schmidt, Lee’s Summit, MO; brothers Delwin Saunders and wife Nada, Kansas City, MO; Wayne Saunders, Deepwater, MO; Charles Saunders and wife Penny, Clinton, MO; grandchildren Jeremy, Emma, and Reann Saunders, Tucker, Christian, Trinity and Collin Wyzard and Karissa Willoughby.
